| Tiivistelmä: | The subjects of this paper are coordination and integration mechanisms for efficient production in divisionalized organizations provided by project management. We distinguish between intrafunctional, interfunctional and interorganisa- tional coordination. Furthermore, the individual- , team- and contract-perspective is introduced in order to look at different ways how goals are pursued by individuals or groups of individuals. The outcome is a taxonomy consisting of nine entries each of which describes a specific combina- tion of coordination and perspective. Four of these entries are illustrated by examples in detail by showing the coordi- nation and integration mechanisms of resource-constrained project scheduling models. For the remaining entries coordi- nation and integration mechanisms are sketched out. |
