Many companies in UK still have their heads buried in the sand over Europe. Monetary convergence may be happening over there, they reason, but they can afford to ignore it for now. This is hopelessly misguided - the euro arrives once and for all month, and ignoring it could have devastating consequences. As the pro and anti lobbies argue over currency exchange risks, transparency and costs, what many don't realise is the extent to which the process exposes UK companies to the risk of fraud. |
