Tiivistelmä:To review Shelby Hunt's book at this stage is in danger of being both tedious and repetitious. Already subjected to a number of reviews from both academic colleagues in the Journal of Marketing and, particularly, the Journal of Macromarketing and readers on the Amazon website, let alone previous critiques of earlier writing by Hunt and Morgan on their resource advantage approach (Deligonul and Cavusgil 1997, McGovern 1996). The author states that the book is undoubtedly: (a) detailed examination of non-mainstream theories of competition and the firm (which) plays much attention to the resource-based and competence-based perspective. Particularly interesting is his treatment of the theory of competition in the work of Edward Chamberlin and others.
