Tiivistelmä: | Creative human resource management is advocated to foster the self-renewal of Japanese firms whose production-oriented paradigms and traditional personnel systems are incongruent with today's competitive global environment. Pillars of creative human resource management are defined: create a strategic vision of the firm with employee participation and commitment; emphasize the importance of middle managers in the self-renewal process through a new "middle-up-down" management style; transform the career development, appraisal, reward, and "shukko" systems to support a multidimensional personnel management program that recognizes the individual as a source of creativity and self-renewal of the firm. |
