| Tiivistelmä: | An analysis of the antitrust, foreign trade and tariff policy relationship, where in a static situation, a tariff may be a barrier to entry for a foreign firm, but in a repeated game framework, a tariff has an international antitrust property and can break up a cartel of international firms. The review shows an antitrust tariff depending on the degree of cost advantage and product differentiation, and can raise imports and reduce the domestic firm's output. Twenty-one equations and two Figures accompany the basic model, and tax on imports. |
