| Tiivistelmä: | Using real-life data, this paper presents and illustrates a framework for managing an investment (hereafter as: inv.) portfolio (here as: portf.) in which the inv. opportunities are described in terms of a set of attributes and part of this set is intended to capture the effects on society. There is a link with the emerging literature on socially responsible investment (SRI). Given the multi-attribute descriptions of the individual inv. opportunities it is shown how these can be combined into portf. with the same attributes at the portf. level. It is also shown how a manager can systematically be supported in the choice btw. different portf. profiles. As part of the framework multi-criteria decision tools are used. |
