| Tiivistelmä: | The Czech republic is richer and better positioned than Slovakia, but it also has a less reformist government. That's why the Slovaks could still catch up with their old countrymen. The author states that if the Czechs don't discover some reform momentum, then they will hit trouble. That must change if the country is to realize its potential to become one of the richest countries in Europe. In conclusion the author states that first, it means changing not just the government, but the putrid political environment. In this paper the author also provides the graphs and diagrams on the topic of changes in Czech and Slovak growth and Czech and Slovak unemployment. |
