| Tiivistelmä: | The benefits of liberalisation and privatisation apply to electricity as well as other sectors. It is, however, harder to create a functioning market. Central Europe is spending USD 10-15 billion less than it should on annual basis. In the article, included are figures on 'Total net electricity consumption' (1993 and 1996) (in kilowatt hours) and 'Electricity consumption per person 1995' ( in kilowatts) on some countries of Central Europe. In addition, there are figures on 'Net electricity generation by type 1995' (in percentages), 'Electricity prices 1996' (in USD per kilowatt hour) and 'Electricity trade 1996' (in billion kilowatt hours). |
