| Tiivistelmä: | Few companies have achieved the management excellence of the French state utility. Green tariff of the EDF (Electricite de France - Electric Works of France) is widely reputed as a unique effort in applying mathematical methods in management. Green tariff is a neutral management tool based on marginal costs. This management tool is applied in view of the fact that EDF is a public company. It acts in favour of the State in contrast to a private enterprise working for its own profit. This is an attempt of the company to create an efficient and objective tool of scientific management. |
