| Tiivistelmä: | In the course of 2001, the industrial countries experienced a pronounced slowdown of economic activity with industrial production having been particularly weak. The United States and Japan went into recession while growth in the Euro Area slowed to a crawl. Among the major economies only the United Kingdom registered a robust rise in output, although growth has also slowed there (original in German). |
