Tiivistelmä:Telemarketing, which involves unsolicited telephone calls for direct sales purposes has emerged a formidable force. It can't be equated with the long-established profession of marketing research. It's very difficult to draw a borderline between research and telemarketing but inevitable. Otherwise research will merge with telemarketing in the eyes of legislators, which may lead to severe restrictions for research.Suggestions as to how this borderline should be drawn are discussed by ESOMAR.
