Tiivistelmä:The explanation to the current backwardness of marketing research can be found in the history of Spanish society. Since 1986 Spain has been a member of the EEC, which has given new impetus to economic changes. Now supply is greater than demand. Because of the influx of products from the EEC member countries, Spanish companies urgently have to study markets.In 1987 there were 45 marketing research companies. All the traditional forms of market research are used. Planning national surveys, the big geographical differences must be kept in mind.
