Tiivistelmä:Examining the development of arts sponsorship in Europe we can see a considerable growth in the past few years. This trend will continue though at a slightly slower rate. Major sponsors in Europe are banks, oil, insurance, tobacco and computer companies. Sponsors motivations are examined. The views of those who are sponsored show that though they are afraid of the commercial intrusion into the arts world, they are adopting more of a marketing approach to their activities.
