| Tiivistelmä: | Technological advantages are beneficial to people: make work less onerous; give greater freedom; increase the material standard of living,can improve health and reduce accidents. But some modern technology has made work less meaningful for a large number of people; it has reduced freedom of choice for both managers and employees and imposed inappropriate decisions on organizations. Positive as well as negative aspects of changes in technology are illustrated by stressing the existence of choice through the use of socio-technical thinking. |
