Tiivistelmä: | Ericsson Telecommunication's competence management is described in this article. After a short discussion of the general issues concerning competence management, Ericsson Telecommunication is introduced by describing its strategy and a number of external developments as well as the structural and cultural aspects of the R&D-department. The major part of this article focusses on the practical realisation of competence management within the R&D- department, with special emphasis on the various managerial challenges faced by the project leaders, competence managers and operational managers. |
