Tiivistelmä:Hybrid organizations combine characteristics from different cultural backgrounds. Their existence originates mostly in a past situation in which the organization held a 'pure' character, for instance a 'task-oriented' public organization. For some reason a process of functional transformation started to change the fundamental characteristics of the organization. Hybridity was the result. Question is how a hybrid professional organization can be structured adequately. The type of hybridity under consideration is a mixed 'task-market' orientation, for instance a public university that is also active on outside markets. Two different structures are designed: an integrated structure and a differentiated structure.
