Tiivistelmä:Based on a study of the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD), this paper demonstrates how co-workers (hereafter as: co-wrks.) are involved in informal (here as: infrl.) interaction (here as: int.) connected to work they are responsible for. It is shown that the co-worker int. is more extensive and varied than earlier studies have shown. This has a great significance for how co-wrks. and the organization (as: org.) succeed in solving work-related tasks. This study supplements theories on communities of practice (CoP), contributing to a better understanding of how infrl. org. interacts with and complements formal org. (original in Norwegian).
