| Tiivistelmä: | There are at least three important roles for the computer in R and D (research and development) - scientific computing and simulation, information management, and software development. In research management the criterion of efficiency cannot be applied as the nature of the work cannot be separated from computing. Because of the resulting complexity ever-increasing computing power is necessary. Communications, including telephone, video, telefax and computer communications have largely grown in the business world. Easy information access involves the danger of leakage of information and computer intrusion. |
