| Tiivistelmä: | The co-evolution of environmental and trade policies since the end of the Uruguay Round has left governments and trade negotiation grappling with two central questions. The first question concerns the impact of trade on the natural environment, namely when does trade impose such burdens on the natural environment that trade rules must be revised, or offsetting interventions made to protect environmental quality? The second question concerns the impact of environmental measures on trade. |
