| Tiivistelmä: | Outsourcing is becoming a major option in British business, including the financial services industry, and it raises a number of ethical considerations. The author contends that "Outsourcing seems to present a particular threat to employees...because of the factors which have led to outsourcing and the way in which it tends to work." Outsourcing can have many different meanings, and can be implemented for many different reasons, but as a working definition outsourcing is taken to mean buying a service which forms part of the value chain of the business from an outside supplier where previously that service was provided through an in-house operation. |
