Tiivistelmä:Who owns and controls personal information in national data networks? Why not let individuals own the information about themselves and decide how the information is used? A Regulated National Information Markst could allow personal information to be bought and sold, conferring on the seller the right to determine how much information is divulged. Protecting individual information privacy is a widely accepted value in democratic societies - without which the concept of democracy based on individual choice makes little sense.
