Tiivistelmä: | The rapid pace of economic and technological change in the business environment calls for a significant strategic reaction on the part of corporate management. Those responsible for personnel management must produce a new strategic concept designed to meet the demands of their new environment. In such a situation personnel management becomes a vital factor in deciding, whether the firm will remain competitive in the long run. Bearing in mind recent technological advances in the field of computerized production, the author examines the demand for a resource- and value oriented personnel strategy, as well as the prospects for implementing the necessary organisational changes within the business enterprise. |
