| Tiivistelmä: | Companies of all sizes need the focused , hands-on services of specialized managers - but often can't afford the cost of a full-time executive. Increasingly, the answer is to employ shared services executives, "freelance managers" who provide their talents part time. Four cases are described that call for a shared-service executive: start-ups and entrepreneurial firms; companies in turnaround; cyclical or seasonal companies; spin-offs and downsizing. Several examples are given, the advantages are clarified. |
