| Tiivistelmä: | A working title for this paper was "manager learning by doing". On one level, "learning by doing" is unquestionably how the majority of organization members learn about organizational life. One has only to look at the statistics to realise that very little is spent on training and development per head of the U.K. management population. The implication of this is that the proverbial 99.9% of "learning" takes place through doing. |
