| Tiivistelmä: | One of the fastest growing economies in the world, the Asia Pacific region, is going through a revolutionary process. The process is going on on several fronts, social, economic and political and foremost, in technology. Ambitious developments are, however, hindered by the lack of managerial capabilities. The Asia Pacific region lacks trained managers who could cope with the ongoing rapid process in technology. Historically, during the 1980s, there were no postgraduate institutions available to cater to the growing needs for managerial expertise, in particular , for engineers and scientists. |
