| Tiivistelmä: | China's half-century practice has proved that planned economy as a centralized system was far from equality and efficiency. The only way out is to find balance between efficiency and equality under market economy. There is certain relation between the two, which is not opposite. Efficiency, that is, the development of production force, is needed to produce equal income allocation and reduce the distance between the rich and the poor. However, sometimes there are contradiction and conflict between the two, which must be solved through coordination. Various situations in China indicate the existence of economic inequality without efficiency. Under such conditions, China cannot adopt the general policy of giving priority to efficiency with consideration to equality. It should make some choice according to the principal contradiction. |
