Tiivistelmä:Identifying honest employees has become a business necessity. Actions of dishonest employees can be extremely costly. Any procedure used to make honesty or risk predictions should be performed in a manner that does not violate the civil rights of any potential employee. Although the previously most reliable screening tool the polygraph test, was recently outlawed by congress for use in hiring, paper-and-pencil honesty tests have much to recommend them if used properly. This article examines the reliability and validity of honesty tests, and the legal concerns.
