| Tiivistelmä: | The subject of this paper is social networks. The author of this paper suggests that companies perform a social network analysis which can enable managers to visualize the myriad relationships that facilitate knowledge creation and transfer. The article pays an attention to importance of personal relationships among staff members. The paper also considers the following subjects: 1) The use of the knowledge flow within an informal organization; 2) Promotion of knowledge transfer within a functional team; 3) Improvement of knowledge flow across various boundaries within the organization. The paper provides a substantial list of references on this subject. |
