Tiivistelmä:The subject of this paper is knowledge management. Knowledge management is strengthening its links with business goals, but it still needs to expand beyond best practice companies and embed itself further in business cultures. The present paper reveals that companies implementing the best management practices in Great Britain are using knowledge management (KM) to deliver on strategic goals. The article provides the results of a survey conducted on behalf of British Telecom PLC and states that it is important that people and processes must come before technology. The paper also pays an attention to the factors driving the enthusiasm for KM.
