| Tiivistelmä: | In this paper the author focuses on the CEE-EU trade integration and the two factors promoting it: trade liberalization and institutional reforms. The author builds a trade model in which bilateral trade is affected by countries´ economic environments. The paper concludes that countries where most significant changes at the institutional lever happened were also those that most increased their trade with the EU. In addition the author adds that thorough improving institutions in CEE countries can create as much trade as the removal of all tariff and non-tariff barriers. |
