| Tiivistelmä: | The author of the article state that the federal law on secondary purchases and takeovers, effective as of January 1, 2002, creates an organized market for the concentration of publicly held shares and other securities issued by German companies. The authors also state that after an economic analysis of the desirability of takeover regulation, the article presents and discusses the sophisticated provisions enacted to assure the smooth functioning of the takeover market. The paper also provides a substantial list of references on this subject. |
