| Tiivistelmä: | At a time when the numbers of staff in HR departments in several industrialized countries are being reduced, the need for academic research into the contribution of the function to the business is more than ever needed. The question of what is meant by a 'business contribution' also needs definition, if HR responsibility is to be isolated and evaluated. Broad measures of profitability may be less illuminating than more specific indicators to which the HR function might reasonably be expected to contribute. |
