| Tiivistelmä: | The 'contract' between the employee and the employer has changed. Employees now are looking out more for their own wellbeing and are asking 'Is my company loyal to me?' Consequently, the loyal employee, who at one time was taken for granted, now is a precious commodity. This article points out what HR professionals at such companies as Children's Medical Center of Dallas, Citicorp and Apple Center are doing to foster loyalty among their most valuable employees. A short note by D. Gunsch on employee loyalty in Japan is included in this article. |
