| Tiivistelmä: | China has decided to establish the deposit insurance system recently. After an investigation into the foreign deposit insurance systems and analysis of their enlightenment to China's financial reform, this paper thinks that whether the deposit insurance system is feasible or not depends on the comparison between cost of implementing deposit insurance and the expected social cost under the circumstance of no deposit insurance. But it holds that the proper financial supervision and management of the government are the necessary condition for stabilizing economic order and accelerating financial reform and the establishment of financial guarantee system supported by the government would heighten depositors' confidence. |
