| Tiivistelmä: | The article informs about initiaves of the EC Commission to advance European contract law, in particular by creating a "common frame of reference". It questions the assumptions in the Commission communications, and doubts whether EU has any competence to harmonise contract law under the international market jurisdiction. It proposes the elaboration and adoption of an EU consumer contract law regulation (ECCLR) as an alternative. |
