| Tiivistelmä: | Japan's basic principle of developing regional economic cooperation is the open regionalism. It wants to carry out the regional economic cooperation at a high starting point. So it is more interested in APEC while showing less interest in sub-regional economic cooperation. It focuses its efforts on establishing Japan-ANIES-ASEAN-China system, the 21st century system of international division of work in Asia. Japan strategically targets "Huanghai and Bohai Rim" rather than "Japanese Sea Rim" in the Northeast economic cooperation. |
