| Tiivistelmä: | This paper investigates the effect of financial crises on trade credit (here as: tr-cr.) for a sample of 890 firms in 6 emerging economies. It is argued that the decline in aggregate tr-cr. ratios is driven by the reduction in the supply of tr-cr. following a bank credit crunch, consistent with the "redistribution view" of trade credit provision. |
