Tiivistelmä:Several hypothesis on how the survival and success of small business headed by men and women are related to industry differences, organizational structures, and attributes of owner-operators are examined. It was found that business headed by women were not more likely to go out of business, nor less successful, than those owned by men. The data for the analyses were collected annually over a three-year period from an initial group of more than 400 companies in the computer software and sales, food and drink, and health industries in South Central Indiana.
