| Tiivistelmä: | Several years ago, Apple University implemented a desktop training program to provide managers with development opportunities by installing CD-ROM drives on all of its computers. Some managers appreciated the convenience, but others missed classroom learning. To help employees overcome their discomfort with desktop learning, a combination of CD and classroom training was implemented. The article looks at what motivates employees to accept desktop learning and the key benefits, and concludes with predictions about the future of desktop learning, including the use of Internet and intranets to deliver training. |
