Tiivistelmä:A comparative analysis of decision-making practices in two high-technology nations, the USA and Japan, and two developing countries, Iraq and Nigeria is presented. This cross-cultural analysis employed many factors, including organizational structure, employee participation, manager-subordinate interaction, and temporal factors. The importance of comparative management studies is emphasized. The transferability of management skills and practices is discussed from a universalist and an environmentalist perspective. This analysis concludes that although management fundamentals are transferable to any culture, management practices and styles must be adjusted to fit cultural norms of each country.
