| Tiivistelmä: | Because of having possessed the economic capability to expand abroad, the worsening of the investment environment in Taiwan Island and the shift of manufacturing industries to other regions due to the industrial revolution , Taiwan began to make investment abroad , mainly in the US and western Europe, in order to get high technology and to develop North America and Eastern Europe markets. Southeastern Asia is the area which Taiwan make investment the most. The investment concentrates on labor-intensive industry. The investment of Taiwan to the mainland has been increasing rapidly in recent years. |
