| Tiivistelmä: | In the latter half of the 20th century, there appear two economic miracles, that is, the high-speed economic growth of China's mainland and that of its Taiwan province, which attracts the world's attention. According to the published statistics, Taiwan's annual GNP growth rate was 8.1% in the 1970s and 6.7% in the 1980s while the mainland's was 6.1% in the years from 1953 to 1978 and 9.0% or so in the years from 1979 when the policy of reform and opening up began to be pursued to 1994. This paper makes a comparative analysis of the conditions, under which the mainland and Taiwan have created such brilliant economic miracles. |
