| Tiivistelmä: | The expected higher demand for cellular mobile services will mean that transmission in future cellular mobile services will be a lower power with decreased cell sizes. As this happens, the number of handovers from cell to cell, which are experienced by a single call, will increase. It follows that it is important to have good estimates of the probability of handover blocking. The contribution of this paper is to give analytic expressions for the probability of handover blocking in networks with dynamic channel allocation which satisfy the assumptions of the model. |
