| Tiivistelmä: | It is asked if donours interested in the effectiveness of developmental (here as: devl.) programmes should rely on conditional budget support or on project aid. Presented is a model in which only a subset of devl. expenditures can be subject to conditionality. It is shown among others that budget support is preferable to project aid when the preferences of donours and recipients are aligned, and when assistance is small relative to the recipients' own resources. |
