| Tiivistelmä: | In this study, the author shows the reasons why many hospitality firms are not able to take maximum advantage of information technology (hereafter as IT). The analysis concentrates on the existing and planned future IT-dependent strategic initiatives of the hospitality industry. The paper identifies four types of barriers that lessen the sustainable competitive advantage. These response lag drivers are related to 1) IT-resource barriers 2) complementary resources barriers, 3) IT-project barriers and 4) preemption barriers. |
