Tiivistelmä:This article explores some links, and some tensions, between business ethics and the traditional concerns of Marxism (herein as: M). Two M.'s objections possibly being brought against the enterprise of business ethics are explored and aimed to be answered. Contrary to these M.'s objections, it is argued that, far from being impossible, business requires and indeed presupposes ethics and that for those sharing M.'s hope for a better society, nothing could be more relevant than going on with the debate on corporate social responsibility (CSR). It is concluded by outlining some considerations favouring companies' adopting a broader view of their social and moral responsibilities.
