| Tiivistelmä: | The use of plastic-cash instead of traditional money is becoming very popular nowadays. This is true for euro cheque cards too. These cards suggest solvency and safety against theft and loss. Howerer, euro cheque bearers, who think that their cards provide guarantee against abuse would be disappointed: banks pass every responsibility for the consequences of loss or misuse of these cards on the bearer. The article investigates the risk associated with these cheques, the possible ways of abuse, and the degree of responsibility which banks and saving banks accept for euro cheque cards. |
