Tiivistelmä:Since the Chinese economic reform in 1978, due to the existence of continuous excessive demands, the market scale had increasingly expanded. Therefore, the financial position of majority of manufacturing and industry sectors had maintained good records in the 1980s. After 10 years of quantative expansion, the evolution of market structure and the implementation of industrial organization policies began to turn the development and expansion of many industries to a more intensive pattern from 1989, which resulted in the continuous rising in the ratio of loss-making enterprises from 1989. This might reflect the fact that the organizational structure of Chinese industries is in a transition period and is continuously moving in the direction of optimization under the condition of continually strengthened market competition.
