Shanxi province has completed 23 key projects with an investment of 10.4 billion yuan, which include Jincheng mining area, Taiyuan First Power Plant and Taiyuan-Yuanping expressway. 2. Shanghai is putting out 40 major projects and the planned projects include the sedan project of Shanghai General Motor Company and the project of "enclosing an area of a seashore by building a dike" by Shanghai's chemical industry. 3. China had a newly increased gold-producing capacity of 0.285 million liang per year in 1997. 4 China's steel, pigiron and steel product output reached 0.107 billion tons, 0.1145 billion tons and 94 million tons respectively in 1997. 5. China's insured amount reached 108 billion yuan in 1997. 6. The floor space of buildings completed in 5 years was 0.56 billion square metres. |
