| Tiivistelmä: | This paper focuses on the perceptions that small business owner-managers have of graduates and their skills. The study concentrated on the tourism, hospitality and leisure sectors and it used two methods, focus groups and a survey of firms in Surrey. According to this study, micro-business owners believe that their businesses are not appropriate for graduates, while owners of bigger firms are more likely to recruit graduates. SMEs expected graduates to be able to perform immediately. |
